About the Kookaburra Spirit Hockey Shin Guard Medium

If you are shopping for players of every level, the Kookaburra Spirit Hockey Shin Guard from Kookaburra deserves a look. Kookaburra is known for dimple hockey balls and junior and senior sticks, with roots going back to 1890.

It relies on a hard outer shell that spreads the force of a hit from the ball or a stick.

Field hockey shin guards must be covered by socks in most leagues, so pair them with long hockey socks and, if you like, a compression sleeve to stop them slipping.

The verdict: Anyone from first-timers to experienced players will get the most from it. Use the comparison chart below to weigh it against close alternatives.
